A Happy Surprise

There was a moment in the middle of yesterday morning when I felt as happy as I've felt in years -- I didn't mean to be so affected by it, but when I found out about the outcome of a contest I entered, I literally cried I was so happy. Everything else about the day was typical (dinner with Aaron & Caleb, Lynn at Grad School, Jaelyn to the tutor, chilling with Addison in the library, teaching, senate, etc...) but it all felt bathed by a glow of singular happiness.
