Jaelyn slept til 8 and Addison until 9:30 on this first day of summer break, after they woke up, it was family day all day:
- the park with Jeff, Abbi & Noah for playing and brainstorming,
- the pool with the kids,
- Papa Gyros with the fam for supper, &
- First Fridays dwntn with the fam for parading & engaging.
At the pool where hundreds of nearly naked human bodies move erratically in concert in spaces far less conducive to personal space than to the urgency of keeping cool, it is hard to stay focused on writing a scene or reading a chapter, because the effect of such crowding, such chaotic, organismal wholeness, sustains a sense that perhaps you do not exist individually at all.
