Long Day's Night...

I picked the kids up from school twenty minutes early to take them to Akron for an appointment with Jaelyn’s ADHD doctor, and at home we made stromboli while Lynn waited endlessly in Columbus for her dad’s surgery to begin. The worst part of the day was how long it extended after it should have; after the phone call at 11:30 p.m. that the surgery had, indeed, identified the left lung as cancerous, Jaelyn’s focalin kept her awake, mostly beside a sleepless Lynn (with a few spells from me) til 5:30 a.m. when Jaelyn finally went to sleep for the first time, but only for two and a half hours.
