Building Theory

Saturday morning was soccer and in the afternoon, as I watched J & A invent games together, I developed a theory of games, gamers and motivation:

the world is divided into people who love games because the game's stakes are so high and the game's borders are so close to real life and identity and people who love games because the game's stakes are so high, yet the world of the game is such a safe long distance from the particularities of real life.

It's just a theory and I realize that it doesn't account for people who don't love games, but why should I build my theories for people who are wrong anyway?
