A Day Focused on Teaching

Teaching Award stuff dominated the morning, but it was nice in a modest way. In the evening, Lynn facilitated a focus group where I was her research assistant: the discussion about how to teach Standard American English without reinforcing negative stereotypes and messages about African American English by seasoned administrators and teachers -- was fascinating.
