Minivan Caravans to Hipster Galleries

Worked all day, but got to trek up to Cleveland with a bunch of artist / friends to the American Greetings Fine Arts Show; afterwards had a late dinner overlooking downtown the River all lit up. I've decided that the formal qualities I'm drawn to in art (these days) include oil on wood, mixed media (including painting), and the use of encaustic; thematically, I'm drawn to paintings that suggest a secret or hidden dimensions of reality.
