A Rainy Inaugural Day

I spent a long inaugural day as a "faculty marshall" (an unfortunate & vaguely unethical position that was foisted upon me: unfortunate since I am not a natural celebrant when it comes to leader-centric rituals, and unethical since faculty senators elected to represent the interests of the people should not be converted into corralling agents, trailing the masses in obeissance to the leaders) being alternately annoyed by the marketing (they call themselves: "advancement" -- whatever) people (as is typical) and being pleasantly suprised by the ceremony. The day felt best when chatting on the couch with Lynn, randomly chatting at Muggswigz, playing Memory with Jaelyn.
